FAQs

Frequentely Asked Questions

We make the process simple! For tourists booking an organized tour with us to Southern Algeria, we provide a Boarding Authorization (Entry Permit).

Timeline: We typically process this within 15 days.

How it works: We send you a document with a QR code. You show this at the airport when boarding your flight. Upon arrival in Algeria, your official visa is issued and paid for at the border/airport.

The local currency is the Algerian Dinar (DZD).

Cash is King: Algeria is primarily a cash-based economy. While large hotels in Algiers might accept credit cards, you will need cash for local markets, cafes, taxis, and tipping.

Exchanging Money: To get the best value, we recommend bringing Euros or US Dollars. Our agency can assist you in exchanging your currency through trusted contacts to ensure you receive a much better exchange rate than those offered at official banks or hotels.

The North (Coast & Cities): Best visited in Spring (March–May) or Autumn (September–November) for mild, pleasant temperatures.

The South (Sahara Desert): Best visited from October to April. Winter days are sunny and warm (20°C–25°C), but nights can get very cold, often dropping near 0°C.

☀️ Summer Travel in the Sahara

"I only have vacation time in the summer. Can I still visit the desert?"

Absolutely! While summer (June–August) is the hottest period, we specialize in "Summer-Adapted Tours." We adjust our itineraries to ensure your comfort and safety:

  • Early Starts: We begin our explorations at sunrise to enjoy the coolest part of the day and head to shaded or air-conditioned rest areas during the midday peak heat.
  • Specialized Gear: We provide extra cooling equipment, including high-capacity portable refrigerators to ensure a constant supply of ice-cold water and fresh meals.
  • Expert Preparation: Our team prioritizes hydration and salt-balance. We also provide traditional turbans (Cheche), which are the most effective way to stay cool and protected from the sun.
  • Cooler Locations: In summer, we focus on high-altitude desert plateaus or oasis regions where the evening breeze provides a natural "air-conditioning" effect under the stars.

Yes! Algeria is a very welcoming and safe destination for tourists. When traveling with Cozy Vibes Travel, you are always accompanied by experienced local guides and drivers who ensure your comfort and security.

Most travelers are surprised by the legendary hospitality of the Algerian people.

  • Clothing: In the North, European-style clothing is common. In the South or at religious sites, we recommend dressing modestly (covering shoulders and knees).
  • Layers: Even in the desert, bring a warm jacket or fleece for the evenings.
  • Essentials: Sunscreen, a power bank, and comfortable walking shoes for historical and archaeological site visits.

Not at all! We can cater to all diets and dietary requirements.

There are many flights from Europe as well as Tunis, Cairo, Dubai, and Montreal.
